Algemene Kunstzijde Unie

Algemene Kunstzijde Unie (AKU) was a major Dutch industrial conglomerate formed in 1929 through the merger of several rayon and synthetic fiber manufacturers. The company eventually merged with Kononklijke Zout Organon in 1969 to form Akzo, which is now part of the multinational chemical company AkzoNobel.
