Cockerill-Sambre was a major Belgian steel manufacturer formed in 1981 through the merger of Cockerill-Ougrée-Providence and Hainaut-Sambre. The company was integrated into the Arcelor group in 1999 following a series of mergers and is no longer an independent operating brand.
