Comptoir national d'escompte de Paris

Comptoir national d'escompte de Paris (CNEP) was a major French bank established in 1848 to support the French economy following the financial crises of the period. It later merged with the Banque nationale pour le commerce et l'industrie in 1966 to form the Banque nationale de Paris, which is now a component of BNP Paribas.
