First horse railway in Slovakia
The first horse-drawn railway in Slovakia, known as the Pressburg-Trnava horse railway, was established in 1840 to connect Bratislava with Trnava and Sered. It served as one of the earliest rail transport infrastructures in the Kingdom of Hungary, operating until its conversion to steam traction in the 1870s.
