Gemeentegiro Amsterdam

Gemeentegiro Amsterdam was a municipal giro service established by the City of Amsterdam in 1917 to provide payment and savings facilities for local residents. It functioned as a public financial institution before being integrated into the national Girodienst system and eventually the Postgiro.
