Hungarian General Credit Bank

The Hungarian General Credit Bank (Magyar Általános Hitelbank) was a major financial institution founded in 1867 that played a central role in the industrialization of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The bank ceased independent operations following the nationalization of the Hungarian banking sector in 1948.
