Škoda Works, now known as Škoda Transportation, is a major Czech engineering company specializing in the production of vehicles for public transport including trams, trolleybuses, and electric locomotives. The company traces its historical roots to the industrial conglomerate established by Emil Škoda in 1859 and is currently a subsidiary of the PPF Group.
