Solon SE was a major German manufacturer of solar modules and photovoltaic systems that focused on large-scale solar power plants. Following financial difficulties and insolvency proceedings in 2011 and 2012, the company's assets were largely acquired by external investors, and it currently operates as part of the Solon Energy GmbH entity.
