Sputnik Engineering was a Swiss manufacturer specializing in string inverters for grid-connected photovoltaic systems under the SolarMax brand. Although the company declared bankruptcy in 2015, the brand was subsequently acquired and revived by the newly formed SolarMax Group based in Ellzee, Germany.
